Topic Circles are the curated categories used to group content within this wiki.
Wiki's lack the structured content of information found in most traditional documents featuring a table of contents. Rather, they follow the topical structure of an encyclopedia, where each topic or section – wiki page in this instance – is at the same level as all of the others. Cross-references are used to link similar items together.
The committee has adopted the wiki concept of circles to help organize how we approach the review of the web site content and to identify major topics for targeted attention. Eventually all of the individual pages will be classified by the circle(s) they best fall within. Curators, drawn from the committee and the user community, will focus on the quality and breadth of the content within each circle. The list of circles, defined here as major topic areas within travel forecasting, is by necessity dynamic. At the present time the following circles have been identified. The curator(s) for each circle, if appointed yet, are shown in parentheses after each circle.
